Also within easy walking distance are the local shops, bars and restaurants...close enough for an evening out, distant enough to ensure the solitude Gingerbread House guests so enjoy.

Slightly farther afield you will find the glorious stretches of beach between Avranche and Granville, a mere thirty minutes by car. The ancient port of St Malo makes for a great day trip, and at only forty minutes away there's no need to spend half the day on the road!
